Warhammer online Thread

Post by Dagda »

Hey all, I'm willing to give Warhammer a go. I think my PC is up to it... but it is a little old. I have recently come back to arctic and am enjoying it, but I think the thing I've been missing in MMO's is a good fun group of people to play with...

Hey Robb,

Cool! Check out the warhammer section. The NDA will be lifted soon so a lot more info will be available.

Also if you pre-order you will get a reserved spot in the open beta and once it's launched I believe we can start 3 days sooner.

Nice, where did you pre-order it from? Did they send you the codes yet?

Gamespy's beta journal has some interesting stories if you feel like reading

I think I will setup an irc channel for us WAR people tomorrow on the arctic server to chat live.

And we shall setup a ventrilo server soon, at least before the gaming begins.

Interesting tidbit

Your character's appearance WILL change over time, though. Orcs will get larger and more muscular, dwarf beards will grow longer, etc.

Dwaven (Engineer?) Mount

Dwaven (Engineer?) Mount

Just think how much more painful it will be for your enemies when they die to someone mounted on a john deere! 8)

Or when you find out that the only mount that happens to "break down"...

To get your codes directly from their website:

When you pre-order from Amazon, you're given immediate access to your pre-order codes, provided you know where to look. As soon as you get your payment confirmation email, sign into your account on Amazon.com, and go to Your Media Library. Click the "downloads" tab at the tap and all three of your codes should appear. It's simple, easy, and efficient. If you're ordering online, we recommend using Amazon.

1. Select "Your Account" from the upper-right corner of the Amazon.com screen.
2. Select "View Your Media Library" from the right column in the "Where's my stuff" section near the top of the page.
3. Log in if necessary.
4. When the Media Library page appears, at the VERY top of the screen are several tabs, one of which is called "Downloads". Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the word Downloads.
5. Select Bonus Items.
6. Copy/Paste it to your notepad all the codes.

Let me know if this works, I copied this info from VN boards

If you have pre-ordered. You can go to the warhammeronline.com site and create a beta account and enter your pre-order code (only one of the codes will work here)

OPEN BETA ACCESS

To register for Open Beta:
1. After August 15, 2008 visit the Mythic Entertainment Account Management website.
2. Create a new Warhammer Online game account.
3. When prompted, enter your Open Beta code.*

Open Beta files will be available for download on August 15th.

* If you have previously entered your Open Beta code in the Beta Center, you will need to enter it again when you create your WAR game account at the new account management site.

LIVE GAME HEAD START

To register for the Head Start and claim your in-game bonus items:
1. After August 15, 2008 visit the Mythic Entertainment Account Management website.
2. Create a new Warhammer Online game account or open your existing game account.
3. When prompted, enter your Head Start and Bonus Items code.

Your Head Start and Bonus Items code can be found in the pre-order confirmation email or on the card in the pre-order box. When you log into the game you will have a new Tome of Knowledge unlock for each bonus item that you have claimed. The Tome of Knowledge will give you further instructions on how to access these items via the in-game mail system. These items will be available for use during the Live Game Head Start.

I liked the video, but was hoping someone would post a video that was more mechanical vs. theatrical.

Is there a count as to how many people are going to be playing with this group?

Support Class for me.

I think I am going to go with Rune Priest or Zealot - - depending on the realm.

I have always enjoyed playing a support role and enjoy self-buffing and healing.

2 addictions that are hard to break.
